“Drunk at 1am in the Living Room Talking About Our Mental Health” with Alli Bellairs
Wednesday Oct 26, 2022
Wednesday Oct 26, 2022
Welcome to episode #33 of @thepfwcpodcast This week I sat down with the hilarious & inspiring, Alli Bellairs. Alli is a LGBTQ+ comedian, mental health advocate, Tiktoker, and founder of A Bee Nice Company.
Alli opened up about her experience with mental health, the importance of therapy, navigating depression, finding comedy, and normalizing the conversation around mental health. Alli creates a safe space daily for individuals to be who they are, open up about their mental health, and remove the stigma around asking for help.
Unfortunately, there can be a lot of shame associated with using humor to cope with mental health or any struggles that we experience as humans but it is not always an unhealthy way to cope. Alli and I talked about finding that balance between using humor and actually healing from trauma and mental health.
If there is one thing Alli and I hope that you take away from todays conversation it’s this- — you are NOT alone in your struggles!
If you are interested in learning more about what Alli is doing or joining her community, you can find her on Instagram and Tiktok.
